Feeling These Symptoms? It Could Be Andropause… Information Optional Testing for Men
Have you experienced any of the following symptoms in your daily life?
・Feeling fatigued easily and lacking motivation
・Losing your usual morning energy
・Becoming more irritable or feeling depressed
・Having light sleep and waking frequently
・Noticing changes in your body shape
・Experiencing a decline in sexual function
・Family members saying, “You haven’t been yourself lately.”
If you’re experiencing these symptoms, it could be due to andropause. In fact, not only women experience menopause-like symptoms—men too can have similar issues known as “male menopause” or LOH syndrome, often causing vague discomfort.
According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, AMS scores (Aging Male Symptoms rating scale), one indicator used to assess male andropause symptoms, showed the following trends: 36.2% of men in their 40s, 42.2% in their 50s, and 43.9% in their 60s scored within the mild (27–36 points) to severe (50 points or more) range. These results suggest that the number of men experiencing age-related symptoms increases with age.

Are "testosterone" and "equol" the cause of your illness?
If you’re feeling off or suspect you might be experiencing male menopause, it could be due to a decrease in testosterone (male hormone) or equol.
Testosterone (male hormone)
Testosterone (male hormone) is an important hormone for men, involved in maintaining muscles and bones, sexual function, motivation, concentration, etc. After the age of 40, its secretion decreases with age, and it can cause "male menopause (LOH syndrome)" such as fatigue, decreased libido, and depression.
Equol
Equol is a compound produced in the body from soy isoflavones that acts similarly to sex hormones. It is expected to be effective not only in women but also in men, preventing prostate hyperplasia and AGA (androgenetic alopecia), and reducing the risk of lifestyle-related diseases. However, not everyone can produce equol, and there are individual differences in whether or not the body can produce it. It is said that only about one in three Japanese people can produce equol in their bodies.
Check for "testosterone" and "equol" through testing
