Our clinic offers a “women-friendly” environment and offers health screening tailored to the needs and age of all women. The physical, gynecology, and breast exams are all performed by female physicians and staff. We provide a safe and comfortable environment where you can freely discuss any women’s health issues you may have.

Female hormones protect the female body

A women's health is greatly influenced by two types of female hormones, estrogen, and progesterone, secreted from the ovaries. You may be under the impression that hormones are related to the reproductive organs, but in actuality, they act on the whole body, from head to toe, to protect the female body.

Care tailored to different life stages

Female hormones keep your body functioning in good health. However, their secretion varies greatly with age, and they can significantly impact a woman's body and mind. Therefore, the troubles and illnesses that you should be aware of can differ depending on age.

Female-specific cancers that you want to pay special attention to:
breast cancer and uterine cancer

Breast cancer and uterine cancer are female-specific diseases. For most cancers, the risk of disease increases with age; thus, it is often believed to have little association with young women. However, we see more and more female-specific cancers among younger women, and there has been a rapid increase in onset among women in their 20s and 40s. Early detection and early treatment increase the likelihood of survival, so it is essential to have cancer screenings regularly.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer that women suffer

Breast cancer is cancer that forms in the breast tissue. It is the most common type of cancer among Japanese women. Case numbers gradually increase among women in their 20s, peaking for women in their late 40s-50s, but there is a rapid increase in cases among women in their 30s. Subjective breast cancer symptoms include a 1 to 2 cm in size lump that can be felt, but initially, there are very few apparent subjective symptoms.

Screening methods include mammograms and ultrasounds. Depending on the breast's condition, if you are in your forties or older, we recommend both a mammogram and an ultrasound (echo examination). Mammograms are essential for finding calcifications found in the early stages of breast cancer. Ultrasound may also find cancers that mammograms cannot find. Which test should I have done? If you have any concerns, please consult with our clinic as the examinations recommended can vary depending on your personal condition.

Mammogram

A breast-exclusive x-ray that screens for lumps (tumor), cracks, and calcifications in the mammary glands. The breast is placed on the breast support table, pressed with a compression device, and images are taken from the top, bottom, left and right. Depending on the individual, the exam may be a little painful.

Breast ultrasound (breast echo)

This exam checks for lumps, lump state, size, etc., using ultrasonic waves. We will ask you to turn on your back, apply the gel to the left and right breasts, and slide the probe (terminal) vertically and horizontally to observe the breast tissue.

Do you know that there are different types of uterine cancer?

Uterine cancer is classified into cervical cancer and endometrial cancer according to where the cancer occurs. The two cancers are quite different in the age of onset and subjective symptoms.

Cervical cancer

The cervical cancer incidence rate has rapidly increased among women in their 20s-30s and is even more common for women in their 40s and older. Initially, there are very few subjective symptoms, and as it progresses, exhibited symptoms can include irregular bleeding, abnormal vaginal discharge, lower abdominal pain, etc. Additionally, human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is strongly associated with cervical cancer. Carcinogenic HPV, which causes cervical cancer, is a virus that is transmitted by skin to skin (mucous membrane) contact and is often thought to be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Therefore, all sexually active women are at risk for developing cervical cancer. Regular screening is required as there are no subjective symptoms.

Endometrial cancer

Endometrial cancer is common around menopause among women in their 40s; however, recently, incidence among women in their 30s has also increased. It is said that the absence of childbirth experience and late menopausal age can affect its onset. Unlike cervical cancer, subjective symptoms appear from the beginning. The most common is abnormal uterine bleeding. In addition to postmenopausal bleeding, you may exhibit symptoms like premenopausal bleeding outside of the menstrual cycle and blood in the vaginal discharge. If you have any symptoms, please consult our clinic.

Following the changes between life stages, the amount of female hormone secreted changes greatly, and the female mind and body's condition can be very volatile.
Also, we cannot overlook the risks of female-specific diseases such as breast and uterine cancer. To be free of mental and physical disorders and enjoy a daily life that’s right for you, you must take measures and find care that suits your day-to-day needs. Let's start by getting to know your physical condition.
